Sovino Wine Bar and Merchant is hosting an online painting class with local artist Bunny Paivine on Saturday, July 11, at 6pm. Learn how to paint this picture from the comfort of your own home! As of Wednesday, July 8, for at least 3 weeks:

1) Bars, breweries, pubs, and brewpubs (including bars located at indoor and outdoor food facilities) must close both indoor and outdoor operations.

2) Restaurants must close indoor seating to customers. All restaurants may continue to use outdoor seating and offer take-out and delivery.

3) Wineries and tasting rooms must close indoor services to customers.

4) Family entertainment centers and movie theaters must close indoor services and attractions to customers. They may continue to provide outdoor services.

5) Zoos and museums must close Indoor attractions to visitors, but they may continue to operate outdoor attractions.

6) Cardrooms must close indoor services to customers.

Venture Gallery presents a show by local artist Elizabeth Ingebretsen entitled "Blooming in Place." We welcome you to come and view these moments of joy in an otherwise disturbing time. Venture Gallery is now open for in-store shopping Thursdays - Sundays, 10am-6pm. The exhibit will continue through August 2020 at 260 Alvarado Street.

As of July 1, the City is enforcing the mandatory wearing of face coverings in business districts, both inside and outside, with a fine of $100 for the first violation. All people over the age of 12 must wear a face covering.

Residents and visitors to the business districts are also required to maintain a six foot distance from others who are not members of the same household.

Union Yoga is now teaching yoga on the beach at Monterey Tides Hotel every Saturday and Sunday, 9am-10am. These all-level flow classes are taught by Kelli Gray (Nairn) on Saturdays and Rebekah Cordell on Sundays. We're gathering together, breathing together, and enjoying familiar company. Om Studios, located at 631 Cass Street, has reopened for yoga and Pilates classes as well as weekly private instruction. We've made lots of modifications to ensure the safest possible environment for our Om students and staff. Read about some of the steps we're taking.

The City of Monterey and the American Red Cross have five monthly blood drives scheduled at El Estero Park Center at 777 Pearl Street. Because of Covid-19, no walk-in appointments will be accepted.

Montrio Bistro is happy to announce we're now open daily, 5pm-9pm, for take-out, no-contact curbside pick-up, and dine-in service with indoor and patio seating.

Pilates Monterey at 533 Hartnell Ave. has reopened our studio! This will be a slow reopening so we can ensure proper implementation of the guidelines set forth by the state health department and the CDC.
