This Friday at 4pm, Monterey Public Library invites you to join us as we watch an online screening of the haunting documentary To Climb a Gold Mountain , followed by a Q&A with the film's Director and Executive Producer, Dr. Alex Azmi. This is a free program, but please register in advance here .

To Climb a Gold Mountain tells the true stories of 3 women of Asian descent who lived in America over the span of 125 years. Each woman fought in her own way to make a difference.

Monterey County Youth Museum

MY Museum is excited to partner with Boxing Strong for a non-contact boxing class for kids ages 3-6 this Saturday, 10:15am-10:45am. Boxing helps kids develop coordination, agility, balance, and mental toughness. No gear needed - just bring yourselves!

Class is included in the price of admission (free for Museum members). Reservations are recommended - please register for the morning playtime on May 21 here .
