Learn Sashiko Stitching on Everyday Items at Slowfiber

This event has already passed

Once you’ve taken Slowfiber's Explore Sashiko Stitching Class, or you have proven existing competency in Sashiko stitching, you'll be ready for this intermediate class taught by textile artist Kris Nardello, "Sashiko Stiching on Everyday Items" held Friday, October 20, 1:30pm-4pm, and Friday, November 10, 1:30pm-4pm. Fee is $100. Register on the Slowfiber website.

This class will be an opportunity to put those fabric marking and stitching skills to work on personal items with the addition of a design component. We'll take an existing item of yours and really rev it up with your new-found stitching skills.

In the first class we'll discuss effective ways to embellish garments, accessories, and household linens. In the second class we'll continue with and problem shoot your project.
