Middlebury Institute of International Studies presents a free Zoom webinar with Governor Bill Richardson entitled "War and Peace: The Importance of Multilateral Diplomacy" on Monday, February 1 at 4pm. All are welcome. Please register in advance online.

Diplomacy isn’t just about winning. It’s about creatively collaborating to craft a solution that works for both parties. How the United States does this as it moves forward in a complicated world stage will be more than challenging.

With more than 30 years of government experience, Governor Bill Richardson is a leader in the private, government, and not-for-profit sectors. He currently operates the Santa Fe, New Mexico-based Richardson Center for Global Engagement, a foundation focused on conflict resolution, prisoner release and environmental protection.

This is the fourth event sponsored by the Jan Knippers Black Fund for Human Rights Protection.

Through January 2021, Om Studios is offering new students a 40 day membership for unlimited livestream and outdoor yoga classes for only $69. This 40 day membership for new OM students is about igniting your yoga practice and exploring new ways to make it your own. (This offer is also good for anyone who hasn't participated in Om classes in 6 months.)

There is a long held spiritual belief to the number 40, the philosophy behind it stating that it takes 20 days to break old habits and 20 days to form new ones. For many of us developing and sustaining a yoga practice can be challenging. By knowing how long it takes to change behavior and create new patterns we are somewhat more in control of achieving lasting change and transformation.

Cheryl Graham has been a beloved friend and dedicated employee at Parker-Lusseau Pastries and Cafe for 12 years. The Monday before Christmas, Cheryl suffered a stroke at work. Staff called 911 and she was immediately transported to CHOMP. On December 31, she was moved to CHOMP's Acute Rehab Center, where she is receiving the best care available and currently undergoes three therapy sessions each day.

Cheryl has a long road to recovery ahead of her. If you are able, please consider contributing to Cheryl Graham's GoFundMe page to help pay the bills as she travels this difficult journey.

From Parker-Lusseau:
In Cheryl's eyes, our customers come first. No matter what kind of day she is having, she always has something nice to say to them - a simple smile, a hug (pre-Covid), a compliment, while fixing their favorite drink. She knows many customers on a first name basis. We ALL love her.
