Nuno Felting for Beginners at Slowfiber

Slowfiber presents Nuno Felting for Beginners, a workshop held on Friday, February 9, 1pm-4pm. Fee is $75. Register on the Slowfiber website.

In this workshop taught by Sahar Jabr, you'll learn about the magic bonding effect that happens between wool and silk. This technique bonds soft, pre-dyed, loose, merino wool fibers into silk gauze, creating a lightweight, strong bond full of visual possibilities. You will each be making an 8x8 inch felted square, flexible textile with the colors and embellishments of your choosing. You can find a way to incorporate the piece you make into a wearable item, or frame it and hang it on the wall!
