Chef Mario Garcia Appointed Executive Chef of Esteban Restaurant

Esteban Restaurant welcomes Mario Garcia as its new Executive Chef. Before taking the helm at Esteban Restaurant, Chef Garcia was Executive Chef of the Sardine Factory. He's no stranger to high profile restaurants, having worked under the tutelage of Bert Cutino and Roy Yamaguchi.

Free Covid-19 Vaccine Town Hall with Dr. Martha Blum

Montage Health invites you to join Dr. Martha Blum , infectious disease specialist, as she discusses the Covid-19 vaccine and answers questions from the community in a free online forum on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 5:30pm-6:30pm.

Dr. Blum will discuss vaccine benefits, side effects, and who is eligible to get the vaccine in the early stages. If you wish to join the forum via WebEx, please register online in advance . Plant Sales Return to Cooper Molera Adobe

One gallon pots cost $10; five gallon pots cost $25. Payments must be made by by cash or check - all proceeds benefit Cooper Molera. Masks and social distancing required.

Online Magazine Collage Workshop from YAC

As a gift to the community, Youth Arts Collective has started an online Art Workshop Series consisting of projects that can be done at home or in the classroom and are appropriate for all ages.

The first in the series is the Magazine Collage Workshop , led by Marcia Perry and Raven Cook. The video lasts approximately 20 minutes. Watch for the next art video coming to YAC's YouTube channel in two weeks - All Hearts! - in which we'll create ribbon, paper and yarn heart mobiles.

Help Epsilon Restaurant Reopen

As one of Monterey's mainstays of the community, Epsilon Fine Greek Restaurant is trying to reopen its doors at 422 Tyler Street. To assist with our reopening efforts, we have launched a GoFundMe page to ask the community for your support.

After 30 years of serving the community authentic homemade Greek food, Epsilon was forced to close its doors in early November due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Once we raise enough funds to help with our reopening, we'll host an appreciation dinner for all our donors and we'll resume serving our take-out menu. When Covid restrictions are lifted, Epsilon will return to its full amazing menu and dining experience.

MY Museum presents an engaging online conversation with New York Times bestselling author Katherine Center followed by a Q&A on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 4pm. Tickets are $20-$65. All proceeds go to MY Museum to support the nonprofit organization during its temporary closure during the Covid-19 pandemic.
