Want to support small, locally-owned businesses? Buy a gift card...or two! We've got to shelter-in-place to slow the Covid-19 pandemic. But as you probably know, small businesses are really suffering during this coronavirus shutdown. If you're able, please consider supporting our temporarily shuttered businesses with the purchase of a gift certificate that you can use when they're able to open their doors again.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic and Monterey County's shelter-in-place order, the City of Monterey has published a list of resources for employers and employees in English and in Spanish .

It includes information on unemployment insurance, disability insurance, paid sick leave, and paid family leave as well as local food banks, cash assistance for service workers and alcohol industry workers, free internet access, free video communication for K-12 students, and more.

Did you know that Paris Bakery makes our own granola? Not too sweet, it's the perfect addition to your morning yogurt or oatmeal, and tasty served plain with a little milk!

We are open during the shelter-in-place order and still serving our granola in addition to our mouth-watering breads, pastries, and breakfast and lunch items Wednesday - Monday, 7am-2pm (closed on Tuesday).

Now more than ever, it's important for your computer and smartphone to be working well. During the shelter in place order, I WIll Repair is remaining open as an essential business, offering service and repair for laptops, desktop computers, and cellphones. You can't go to the gym, but you can exercise your mind! Sovino Wine Bar's Trivia Night will continue remotely every Monday at 7pm during the shelter-in-place order. Trivia will be held via Zoom and Classmarker.com. Participation fee is $10 , which will be waived for the March 30th game if you make a purchase from Sovino's online wine and beer store. Please pay in advance on our website.

Work Horse Bicycles (486 Washington Street) is now open and doing our best to help you with essential repairs and sales you may need for your bike during the shelter-in-place order. We are open by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 1pm-6pm. Please call us at 831-375-2144.

At Pacific Bowls and Rolls, we appreciate the work of essential service providers - everyone from the police and health care workers to our local grocers! During the shelter-in-place order, we're offering all essential service providers a deal of "buy one get one 50% off" for our poke bowls or sushi rolls.

Though Old Capitol Books is closed, we still want to help in our community. That's why we're volunteering with the Monterey COVID-19 Mutual Aid Project in coordination with Direct Action Monterey Network.

If you can volunteer to help deliver groceries to immunocompromised people, people with disabilities, or people with asthma, please sign up online . At ISGC, we understand that watching the coronavirus pandemic unfold can be upsetting and alarming for you and your loved ones.
