Posted on March 9th, 2021 by Slowfiber

All Monterey County residents and Slowfiber customers who care about social justice and environmental rights are invited to participate in Slowfiber's 2021 Fashion Revolution Week Virtual Fashion Show, launching online on April 19, 2021. All ages and skill levels are welcome!

If you're a visible garment mender, from-scratch garment maker (using yarn or cloth), or upcycling garment maker, please submit your proudest accomplishment from 2020 or 2021 (your one entry can consist of an entire outfit or a single item). Items must be garments or wearable accessories and must speak to the Fashion Revolutionary concept of Rights, Relationships and Revolution.

Beginning April 19, 2021 Slowfiber will showcase your hand-made wares in our virtual fashion show on YouTube. Prizes will be awarded!

All applications for the fashion show must be made online here by April 1, 2021. When you make your application, remember that WHY you made it is important. You can submit your explanation in writing along with your photos or orally in your video.

Slowfiber is located at 517B Hartnell Street in Downtown Old Monterey.
