Monterey State Historic Park is currently seeking new volunteers! Do you enjoy California History? Would you like to learn more about Monterey’s historic adobes? Do you enjoy meeting people from all around the world? If so, volunteering at Monterey State Historic Park is a great place for you!

Visit the Monterey State Historic Park website for more information on volunteer opportunities or call 831-649-7172 to set up a time to mentor with a seasoned volunteer and get your feet wet.

We are currently looking for people who:

*Like helping children learn about California History and can participate in our “Hands-On” school programs for 3rd and 4th-grade students.

*Enjoy meeting people from around the world and sharing California History while selling unique books and gift items at the Custom House Store.

*Resonate with the writings of famed Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson and can help keep the Stevenson House Museum open on Saturday afternoons, April through October each year.

Volunteer benefits include: quarterly volunteer socials, discounts at the Historic Park stores, and discounted tickets for Monterey State Historic Park (MSHPA) events. (Note: volunteers handle cash, work around historic collections, and instruct children. All volunteers are required to pass a LiveScan background check before assuming their duties.)
