Stitching, the Histories, the Common Threads We Share: Monthly Meet-Up at Slowfiber

Monthly every 2nd Wednesday from Apr 13 2022 to Oct 12 2022.

Slowfiber hosts Stitching, the Histories, the Common Threads We Share, a free meet-up on the second Wednesday of every month, 11:30am-2:30pm. Please register on our website.

Join us while we stitch side-by-side and informally discuss our relationship, our history and practice, with and to textiles. Whether you are a collector or just an appreciator, as long as you stitch you are welcome. Some of us are sitting on a treasure trove of embroidery, needlepoint, lace, and handmade linens, and these items come with stories. The possibility to show and share those items and then participate together in what we are doing in our own private practice of needle and thread is the point. You may slow stitch, cross stitch, embroider, quilt, or whatever.

There is no formal focus other than the suggested "topic of the day" (found on our website). We bring samples from the past or present to show and share and work on our individual projects while we gather. Tea is provided - feel free to bring a snack or treat to share.
