MIIS: International Education and Climate Change: Going Global and/or Going Green?

This event has already passed

Middlebury Institute of International Studies presents an online discussion on Thursday, September 23 at 12pm entitled "International Education and Climate Change: Going Global and/or Going Green?" This event is free, but please register online in advance.

Climate change is one of our most pressing issues. International education is one way young people can learn about the planet. At the same time, international education has been highly dependent on air travel and related resources. So, are these two in conflict, or do they work together? And what are some innovative approaches to reducing the carbon impact of international education?

Join Dr. Anne Campbell, associate professor of the International Education Management (IEM) program, and Thi Nguyen, IEM ’20, assistant director of global recruiting, to learn about recent research and discuss the future of sustainability in international student mobility programs.
