This event is both a concert by talented singers and songwriters, but also a launch of the nonprofit organization She Writes Songs. Enjoy music, wine, canapes, networking, and a Q&A session with renowned songwriter manager and music executive Stephen Budd, who will pull back the curtain on how the music industry really works.
She Writes Songs (SWS) is a pioneering new nonprofit dedicated to championing female songwriters. While women’s singing voices dominate the airwaves, their songwriting contributions remain vastly underrepresented.
Co-founded by renowned singer-songwriter/producer Sarah Gillespie and UK music industry veteran Stephen Budd, SWS aims to turbocharge the careers of female songwriters through mentorship, artistic development, contacts, promotion, and music Industry access.
Wendi Kirby Music is an intimate concert venue featuring beautiful acoustics, natural light, and a deck with a view of the ocean. Please note: this venue is located on the second floor. Because of the historic nature of the building, there is no elevator.
