About Marcie Chapa

Marcie Chapa, a noted percussionist with a love for music, was an original member of Beyonce’s all-female band and worked with Beyonce for a number of years. She has also performed with Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Jill Scott, Al Jarreau, Kanye West, and Mary J Blige.

By the age of 18, Marcie was performing professionally for crowds of thousands, while perfecting her craft once inspired by percussion greats such as Tito Puente, Sr., Karl Perazzo, and Giovanni Hidalgo.
