Winter Art Market at Monterey Museum of Art

Join Monterey Museum of Art on Pacific Street for a cozy and creative shopping experience at our Winter Art Market on Saturday, December 16, 11am-2pm. Held inside the wondrous Iluminado exhibition, visitors are invited to participate in various art prompts, support local businesses, and find the perfect gifts for the holiday season! Admission is free.

Central to the museum's Iluminado exhibit (December 1-22), is a mesmerizing series of artful trees created by local artists Edi Matsumoto, Elizabeth Murray, Mark Schlegel, JP Frary, and Sea Sevilla and Avelino Sanher of La Neta Murals. These trees serve as dynamic canvases where visitors are not simply spectators - they're collaborators invited to help shape the exhibition through art prompts that engage the visitors' creativity and reflection. With every visitor's addition, the trees evolve in stature and meaning.
