Golden State Theatre presents John L. Nash, Jr. and the Monterey Peninsula Gospel Community Choir in their 15th Anniversary and Gospel Heritage Month Concert, "Gospel Goes Downtown!" on Saturday, September 24, 4pm-6pm. The Monterey Peninsula Gospel Community Choir, under the direction of John L. Nash, Jr., is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gospel music in the Monterey area. They represent multiple ethnic groups and musical backgrounds, united in the desire to learn and perform a wide variety of music from the gospel tradition.
