Monterey Public Library: End of Summer Party with Cascada de Flores
This event has already passed
Monterey Public Library presents an End of Summer Party for all ages featuring Cascada de Flores on Saturday, August 28 at 11am on the lawn of Colton Hall. Join us for this fun, educational, and music-filled event! Please bring a blanket to sit on and a mask for anyone older than three.
Cascada de Flores perform nostalgic songs and traditions of Mexico and its neighbors, providing simple arrangements that allow space for both improvisation and pure expression.
Andrew Gilbert of the San Francisco Chronicle and San Jose Mercury News writes: "Featuring Arwen's ravishing voice and guitarist Jorge Liceaga's supple accompaniment, Cascada de Flores brings intoxicating energy to the Latin American songbook. Playful, witty and artfully staged, the show is as charming as the music is breathtaking."
