You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating the public unveiling of the Mike Marotta Sr. Memorial Statue on Wednesday, September 15 at 5pm at Monterey Conference Center with a spirited program of presentations plus music by The Monterey All-Stars and the Monterey Gospel Choir. The ceremony will be followed by a reception at 6pm.
A great paisano and "Mayor of Alvarado Street," Mike Marotta Sr. will be memorialized with a sculpture by Steven Whyte which will be permanently placed at the corner of Alvarado and Franklin Streets. We hope the statue will serve as an inspiration to all, comemorating Mike Sr.'s love of Monterey, community, and the joy of music.
