Monterey's annual 4th of July Parade is a must-attend celebration that draws approximately 15,000 people to line the streets in and around Old Monterey. The parade regularly features the 140-member Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, one of the top drum and bugle corps in the country, as well as the Monterey Bay Pipe Band, the 1st New York Volunteer Fife & Drum Corps, and Samba Legal of Pacific Grove.
