Slowfiber's Beginner Quilting Class, Part 2 starts on Friday, August 25, 1pm-3:30pm, and continues monthly through November. If you're new to quilting or just need some help with the minutiae of machine piecing then get in here!

This round of classes builds on the first semester of work at Slowfiber (February-May) but can be learned independent of the first semester. We'll teach a new six inch quilt block each class.

We will meet online on Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, 5:30pm-6:30pm, July 27 - Nov 9. Fee is $49.99 plus tax (and shipping if you aren't local); book is included, linen fabric add-ons are available for additional fee. Registration deadline is July 4.

Have you ever wished you could make use of all of your leftover fabric pieces that are too small for standard garments? Slowfiber presents a six-week class where you'll learn how to make a Stash-Buster Dress or Tunic out of those scraps combining textures and colors.

Class runs Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:30pm, March 28-May 2. Fee is $150. Register on the Slowfiber website. Students should be able to operate their sewing machine very well and follow a simple pattern.

Slowfiber presents a class in tatting (antique lace making) taught by Melanie Cervi of the Carmel Crafts Guild. Classes begin on Friday, March 17, 2:30pm-5pm, and continue monthly through May.

Learn to create tatted lace using cotton thread. Melanie will teach the basics of double stitch, show us how to read patterns, and help us discover ways to use the beautiful pieces we create.
