About the Event
Welcome to Baroque and Unknown: Night Two - Where Are Our Creative Social Circles? Tonight, we'll transport you to 17th Century Italy to experience a night at Barbara Strozzi’s artist salon where you’ll hear songs of desperation, love, and betrayal performed salon-style.
We'll also hear from musicologist Charissa Noble, who will help us explore the question: What happens when we recognize the inherently social nature of music? As well as mezzo-soprano Max Potter, who will speak about modern artists' relationship with social media.
Our featured performers for tonight will be: Max Potter, Wendi Kirby, Christina Bailey, Sophia Gonzalez, and Ella Duenas. Plus, enjoy paired food and beverage tastings from Uncle Nearest and Chic Charcuterique.
