THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED. Middlebury Institute of International Studies presents a panel discussion entitled Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Aesthetic and Civil Disobedience on Thursday, April 2, 2pm-3:50pm, in Room 102 in the McGowan Building on the campus of MIIS. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited so please register in advance online.
On the panel, Jeff Dayton-Johnson (VP Academic Affairs and Dean, MIIS) and Pushpa Iyer (Director of the Center for Conflict Studies, MIIS) will join musicians and educators Matthew Evan Taylor, Kareem Khalifa, and Kevin Robinson to discuss how concepts of aesthetic freedom fruitfully inform other concepts of freedom, most notably in politics.
