Leche Malo and Phythias Braswell at Old Capitol Books
This event has already passed
Old Capitol Books is pleased to host another after-hours event showcasing the best of Monterey’s new indie music! On Saturday, February 15, we're featuring Leche Malo, Phythias Braswell, and special guests. Doors open at 7pm. Cover charge is $10, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Monterey County Weekly writes of Leche Malo: "Think Annie Clark when she transforms into chamber rocker diva St. Vincent or when Joshua Tillman picks up a guitar, gets weird and becomes Father John Misty. So it goes for Vincent Randazzo… in his new solo project [Vincent Randazoo] embodies the persona of the bear-all wanderer Leche Malo… with raspier and grittier vocals, honest and almost painfully relatable lyrics, plus a pop-sensical execution.”
Pythias Braswell is music, words, and images discovered and cultivated by Michael C. Hays. This material has been sorted from the wreckage of many voyages into the imposing but fertile silences of human consciousness. Much can be learned by observing the patterns of will as it moves in the flesh of living beings. Phythias Braswell presents some of the more useful findings.
