Monterey 4th of July Parade 2020
This event has been canceled.
It is with great regret that the Old Monterey Business Association has canceled the 2020 Old Monterey 4th of July Parade due to the prohibition of large group gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thank you to all of our friends who have participated in the parade over the years, and to the many, many spectators who have lined the streets of historic Downtown Old Monterey on the 4th of July. We'll see you next year as we celebrate Monterey's 250th Birthday Plus One!
Monterey's annual 4th of July Parade is a must-attend celebration that draws approximately 15,000 people to line the streets in and around Old Monterey. This year, as we celebrate Monterey's 250th birthday, it will be spectacular! Come revel in the festive floats, patriotic displays, entertaining costumes, and musical bands.
The parade will start at the corner of Alvarado Street and Pearl Street. It will go down Alvarado Street and turn left onto Del Monte Ave and then take an immediate left onto Calle Principal. It will continue on Calle Principal until Jefferson Street, and end there.
The best place to park on the day of the parade will be the West Garage, East Garage, or Lot 7 (enter on Pacific Avenue).
We need your tax exempt donation to make this year's parade a big success. Sponsorship offers great visibility, media coverage, and marketing benefits. You'll also receive the heartfelt gratitude of our neighbors and visitors for sponsoring this grand community celebration of our city and our common history. Download the sponsorship form today.
