Workshop will include a demonstration by Cha-Ya owner Mitsuko Gammon, a user-friendly book entitled Wrapping with Fabric, and a piece of furoshiki fabric. Space is limited; please call Cha-ya to reserve your seat, 831-646-5486.
Furoshiki is a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that was frequently used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods. Furoshiki is a great substitute for using bags or wrapping paper. Not only is the furoshiki environmentally friendly, but it is also attractive, sturdy, reusable, and multipurpose.
