Arm Balancing Yoga Workshop at CarmelBarre

CarmelBarre in Monterey is hosting a fun, 90-minute Vinyasa Yoga class taught by Megan McKenzie of Moja Yoga on Sunday, March 14, 12pm-1:30pm. This workshop emphasizes the cornerstones of successful arm balances: core, open shoulders, and balance. Fee is $25 general, $20 for CarmelBarre package holders.
In this workshop we'll explore arm balancing in deeper detail. Contrary to popular belief, balancing on your arms does not mean having strong arms and putting all your weight on them, but rather learning to shift your weight, engaging other muscle groups (like your core), and counter-balancing so your arms hold the least amount of weight possible. Expect to play with basic to challenging asanas such as bakasana (crow), flying pigeon, side crow, firefly, forearm balance, and more! All are welcome as everyone can approach these at their own pace and comfort.
