Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium: Readings by Patrice Vecchione and Danish Lameris

On the second Sunday of each month, come to Old Capitol Books to see the featured poets of the Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium. This afternoon's featured poets are Patrice Vecchionis and Danusha Lameris, who will read from their work. There is a suggested donation of $5.
Patrice Vecchione is the author of Writing and the Spiritual Life: Finding Your Voice by Looking Within and the editor of many anthologies. Her collages appear on book jackets and in private collections. Revitalized Cigar Boxes are available at the Monterey Museum of Art shop. She’s currently gearing up for readings, signings and other events to celebrate the publication of her new book The Knot Untied.
Danusha Lameris lives in Santa Cruz where, after completing a B.A. in Fine Arts at U.C. Santa Cruz, she studied at the Squaw Valley Writers Workshops and with the poet Ellen Bass. Her poems have been published, or are forthcoming in: Crab Orchard Review, Poetry Northwest, Alaska Quarterly Review, The SUN Magazine and Rattle, among other journals. Her work has also been included in the anthologies Intimate Kisses, A Bird Black as the Sun: California Poets on Crows and Ravens, and In a Fine Frenzy: Poets Respond to Shakespeare. She teaches weekly, independent writing workshops.
