Osio Documentary Screening: "Machines"
This event has already passed
With rare access to the guarded world of sweatshops, Machines director Raul Jain brings us into one of the thousands of textile mills in heavily industrialized Sachin, India. In this mind-provoking yet intimate portrayal, we observe the life of the workers, the suffering they endure, and the environment they can hardly escape from. With strong visual language, memorable images, and carefully selected interviews of the workers themselves, Jain tells a story of inequality, oppression, and the huge divide between rich and poor through their own perspectives.
