The Monterey Museum of Art on Pacific Street invites you to join us for the opening of the 2016 Weston Scholarship Photography Exhibition on Thursday, May 12. The MMA member opening begins at 5pm, the public opening begins at 6pm, and the awards ceremony runs 6pm-6:30pm. Please RSVP here.
The Weston Scholarship keeps the traditional process of black and white fine art photography alive in the tradition of Edward Weston and Ansel Adams. The scholarship was established in 2004 by Gina and Kim Weston to support high school and college students studying fine art photography in Monterey County and is specifically targeted for those students practicing analog black and white photography. Subjects include: Landscape, Figure Studies, Still Life, Portraits, Architecture, Ideas, Social Commentary, and Concepts.
