Alexandre lives in Lyon with his wife and four children. A fervent church-goer, he learns that Father Preynat, the priest who abused him when he was a Boy Scout, is still working with children. He decides to take action, soon to be joined by two other victims of the priest, François and Emmanuel. The three men will go to great lengths to denounce the perpetrator and the institution that has always protected him, a risky endeavor that will endanger the relationships with their loved ones as well as compromise their own fragile selves. Pilates Monterey, located at 533 Hartnell Street in Downtown Old Monterey, is offering small group Pilates circuit classes. These classes involve one instructor and no more than four students who use all the Pilates equipment in the studio (the reformer, wunda chair, cadillac, and mat). Some previous Pilates experience is required as students work at their own pace with their own repertoire. Knowledge of exercises and how to set up the equipment is needed.

We currently have openings in our M/F 10:30am class and our T/Th 11:30am class.

The Curtis Gallery, recently opened at 451 Washington Street in Downtown Old Monterey, is pleased to announce the release of ethnologist and photographer Edward S. Curtis's Hupa and Yurok photogravure copper plates. Each plate is unique, one of a kind, historic, and beautiful, and is now available to avid collectors of Native American art and history.

In 1924, Edward S. Curtis (1868-1952) published Volume 13 of his series of books, The North American Indian. In Volume 13, pages 3 thru 54, Mr. Curtis reflects upon his interactions with the Hupa and Yurok tribes, including thirty-eight and eighteen photogravure images respectively.

The Curtis Gallery has been provided the opportunity to exclusively offer twenty-six Hupa and seventeen Yurok copper photogravure plates to you, should you have an interest in enjoying a permanent part of history. Please contact us at 831-920-1405 for more information.
