East Village Coffee Lounge is now working together with local music and event producer Kiki Wow to bring top-notch musicians to this favorite local venue at 498 Washington Street in Old Monterey. East Village Coffee Lounge is already known for its great open mic on Wednesday nights, and just a few months ago they added a very popular jazz series on Sundays afternoons at 4pm organized by Stu Reynolds. Now Kiki Wow has joined them, bringing a variety of genres from singer/songwriter to bluegrass, acoustic rock, indie artists, and original music - both local and touring musicians - to the Lounge.

East Village Coffee Lounge is a beautiful historic venue with a giant stone archway at the entrance featuring a small stage area in the back and an open stage area in the front. People love its intimate cozy environment, big outdoor patio, and its selection of coffee, beer, and wine.

Kiki Wow says of East Village Coffee Lounge, “This is a cool setting to listen to super talented musicians and songwriters/troubadours who follow their passion and are committed to their craft of music. It’s also a great way to unplug and connect with peers to experience heartfelt stories of life on the road - and life in general - through well written lyrics and melodies." Kiki has a great ear and a real knack for finding talent - these shows will be well worth your time.

Many shows are free or have a minimal suggested donation that is set by the musicians. You can find information on East Village's shows on the OldMonterey.org calendar and on the East Village Coffee Facebook page. Come join us for some great music!...Read More
