Old Capitol Books is your local new and used bookstore. We consider ourselves a general interest bookstore, with everything from cookbooks to Carl Jung, but we are proud to have the largest selection of books in the areas of LGBTQ+, feminism and gender, ethnic studies, and black history.

Our bookstore also has an excellent selection of fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and mysteries, as well as non-fiction like history, current events, biographies, and much more!

We enjoy helping you find just the right book, whether you're looking for a specific title or need a recommendation. Or stop by to browse our shelves for unexpected finds and hidden gems.
